why wont my caulk stick?

Ok.. needed to reacaulk around the bathtub,,i have been up for 3 days demanding this and at my wits end.
I took off the old caulk,,i cleaned it and dried it.I hardened dap caulk,,not the silicone because that was an absolute nightmare last time.

You quite should be using a silicone caulk. The Dap won t hold in the long run at all. Fully and dry it like you did before. Making sure there is no moisture behind or exposed from the gap you have, use a fan to entirely dry the area if you have

Brand sure the area is clean before you re caulk, rubbing hooch works well for this. Moisture in the air doesn't let it dry so keep door open as much as thinkable. Don't let water contact it for the recommended time on bottle. Use a fan to bungle air
